Hello Jordan...

I'm also looking for my first RTF kit. I have flown before but it was many years ago. Now I am looking to try it out again. From what I have researched, I think the plane you mentioned will be alright. For a first plane a 3 channel would be easier to fly. The ailerons that 4 channel planes have can be tricky at first. But as you get more comfortable, they add a lot more maneuverability. As a result, you won't grow out of it quickly. I would recommend a 2nd battery for more flying time between charges. (I will definitely buy a 2nd battery for my plane)
I have read that tail draggers can be tricky sometimes for take offs and landings, but hand launching should be possible with that plane.
Anyways...

Cheers

Matt

Hi Jordan,

As Matt says, a 4 channel plane is harder to learn on if you've had no previous experience but once you have learned then the ailerons will give you more fun. It looks a nice enough little plane but I wouldn't like to say how good or bad the quality is though, because I'm not familiar with that manufacturer.

You're looking at the right kind of thing though, a high wing design electric Ready To Fly plane is the best type to buy to learn on. And this one isn't particularly expensive so it could be a good little plane to give you a taste of the hobby ;-)

The motor battery pack is included with the plane, but it's always a good idea to buy a second one if you can.
Wait until the plane arrives and then you can see exactly which pack it has, and the type of connector, and buy another one the same if possible.
If you can't get an exact match ( 9.6V 600mAh - 8 cell AAA pack ), we can guide you on which one to buy and how to change the connector if necessary.

You may be able to take the battery down to the nearest hobby shop and they may be able to match it up for you as well.

I know a few of the ones near me have some pretty cool guys working there that are more than happy to make sure I leave with what I wanted/needed. :)
( and sometimes even that extra part/tool I didn't know I needed.... )
