First of all I am no electronic fan... second my english sux so sorry LOL

Ok so most of my friends bought... used... crashed... these RC Planes.... not the SMALLEST type ones. SO I thought those planes are fun to fly but I did not wanna buy one, BUT i wanna make one my own.

but again I only know 1 or 2 about electronics...

I saw a motor from the Source....
this is the motor...
http://www.thesource.ca/estore/product. ... ct=2730256

I wasnt sure if I could use it for an RC Plane... or fit the end of it fits the propeller
its a 9-18VDC // 24000RPM motor...
I also dont know what battery to use...

well ok basically i dont know any part i need to use for that motor...

So to those who build RC plane... will u please tell me what i need to build one...

not the small ones... but big enough for the motor i said

tell me everything i need

-from which body to use... foam or w/e
-Batteries recommended for the motor i showed
-and the PART(i dont know the name) you need to make the plane turn left or right....
-the CIRCUIT or whatever it is, you need to connect the wires inside the plane

its like
= TURN RIGHT ]
BATTERIES = ON/OFF = CIRCUIT or Whatever = MOTOR ] = ANTENNAS w/e ....
= TURN LEFT ]

I HOPE you guys know what im talking about... its like a GREEN PLASTIC BOARD... or lets say... the mother board, where ALL wires are connected to this green plastic board

and when u press for example the throttle of the radio controller.... the antenna receives it and like sends it to that mother board then sends it to the MOTOR thru wires that is connected to it xDD.... so yea thats all..>

and if u think i should start from the easy ones... tell me so :) but tell me a good plane to build and things I need to build it...

Please help, reply :D or send email THANK YOU

Tonying,

I am sure you will get lots of help in this forum.

By the way, congatulations for being interested in the most fascinating hobby anyone can think of.

I would encourage you to first read Pete's introduction for beginners available on line by clicking the line under Pete's signature of any of his postings. Also and better yet invest in his eBook. The eBook is worth every penny spent on it.

This will give you a good start to things you need to know as well as the fundamentals of starting in the hobby.

I understand the desire to build a plane instead of buying one ready to fly. There is a lot involved in actually designing a plane, but lots of people do it.

My suggestion, if you want to build a little and learn a bit while having a nice plane to learn with, would be to get a simple kit. Maybe something like a GWS Beaver. To give you an idea, you can visit http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/703034.asp and have a look. This plane comes as several parts which need to be glued together and assembled. It comes with a motor, but that's all. You still need a transmitter and receiver, an ESC (electronic speed control) to allow you to adjust the speed of the motor, and a battery.

The plane is a foam model and is easy to repair.
