Being a latex it should be no problem.

Did you get similar reply on RC Universe ?

jarihjafri,

I do not know the composition of latex paints but I figure that the pigments (color) are carried in a coating agent similar to acrylics which are dissolved in water prior to polymerization.

I realize it is not practical to buy a fair amount just to try but I think any latex is ok for any foam.

Water and acrylics do not hurt the foam. A very light fabric can be used as a finish and reinforcement over the foam.

If I am wrong you can "bang me on the head" or cut my ears.

Anyone out there with experience?

Not sure about painting but have you looked at 'Solartrim' - it's a lightweight self-adhesive covering made by the guys that produce the iron-on Solarfilm covering. If it's only trims you want to add, it would be just the thing.
The only issue is whether or not it's available in the US. If it isn't then there must be a US alternative out there somewhere...

Tower Hobbies has their own covering film, Towercote, http://www.towerhobbies.com/products/towq1000.html, which has low temp adhesion and can be used on foam.
