I'm learning to fly, my plane is a NexStart ARF. OS.46FX. Every time while we are taking off and the plane become airborne start pulling to the RIGHT. Others friends have been also looking and we can't find why is doing that.
Any idea?

Hello Jose,

I might not be of much help and some others may be able to help better

Most models have a tendency to turn to the left.

I canot have any ideas as to what you and your friends looked at to try to determine the reason(s) for a right turn.

Some things I would look at _ _ _

The settings of the transmitter being all neural including the trims.

--- Look for all control surfaces to be in line with their associated components. Rudder with fin, elevators with stabilizer, ailerons with the wings.
--- Look that the fin is not angled. That it is in line with the fuselage center line.
--- Look at the wings incidence. If the left wing has more incidence or a warp it could generate more lift than the right wing.
That might not be easy to see as a very small difference might exist.
--- Look at any right thrust built in. Too much right thrust could be the cause.
--- Look at the lateral balance. Is the right wing side heavier than the left ?

Is the right turn taking place during the take off roll on the ground or only after airborn ?
--- The right wheel might have some rotating friction.

What else can I think of ?

As it becomes airborn it pulls to the right. That could either be a problem with the aileron, or rudder. We might as well keep it simple, right? Follow KILOP's advice, check to make sure the ailerons and the rudder are lined up with the wing and the fuselage.

If one aileron is just slightly different from the other it can cause a problem. They may look alright, but should be double checked.

Sit the plane on a table or other flat surface. Measure the distance between the table top and the aileron tip on one wing, then check the other and make sure they are the same. Of course one wing might be slightly higher, so take that into account by measuring them as well. Make sure both wing tips are the same distance from the table.

The rudder is a bit harder to measure to ensure it is perfectly straight, so I usually just look at it from a distance. Stand directly in front of or behind the plane, line up with the fuselage and make sure the rudder is in line with it while it is neutral.

You can adjust the linkages on the control surfaces to get it all lined up. I know you want to get in the air, but take the time to perform all of the checks and you will be rewarded with a good flying plane.

I suggest getting a copy of Pete's book "Beginer's Guide to Flying RC Airplanes" and reading chapters 6 through 11. He gives some excellent advice. This is a great book for learning all about RC planes. It's written specifically for electric planes, but almost everything can be used on glow planes as well.

Jose (galan_josel),

How are you making out with your search as to why your model is turning right ?
