I thought I would try my hand at helicopters. I purchased a Hero 26" H835 form Nitroplanes.com. It is only a three channel but it is bigger and can be flown outdoors in light wind. I also purchased the training landing gear in hopes of avoiding a few crashes. I haven't had time to fly it yet because I am moving but I have been using my flight simulator to get a feel for it. The first thing I noted was that it requires a lot more attention to the controls than a fixed wing. Wish me luck.

Good luck! Helis are a lot more demanding than planes, but coaxial helis like the one you have are much easier to fly than single rotor helis. If that's any comfort.... :P
